What are the differences between manufactured homes and modular homes?
Manufactured homes, also known as mobile homes, feature different building guidelines and construction methods than modular homes. Manufactured homes are built on a steel frame using 2×8 floor joists. All manufactured homes in Canada are built to meet the Canadian Standards Association’s Z-240 guidelines.
Modular homes are constructed to meet the Canadian Standard Association’s A-277 guidelines, which are equal to the standards of the BC Building Code. These homes are typically placed on a crawlspace foundation or basement.
How long does it take until I can be living in my new home?
Move into your new home in as little as a few weeks! If you select a home from our in-stock selection, delivery and setup can be completed in as little as 1 to 3 weeks! If you choose to custom order a home, delivery times will vary.
How are you able to place my home on a foundation?
There are two main methods for placing a home: using a crane, which is preferred when the home has a basement or crawlspace, and we also have specialized equipment called trans lifts that we use that are designed to reduce time & costs and increase quality, speed and safety of our home installations and setups. We use these for homes going on concrete pillars or cement slabs.
Where are your homes built?
Here at Fraser Gateway Modular Homes, we trust Moduline Homes to build all of our homes. All Moduline Homes are manufactured in Canada.
What warranty do I get on a new Moduline home?
Moduline provides you with a 1-year comprehensive warranty. Any warranty issues will be looked after quickly and efficiently by our team at Fraser Gateway Modular. You will also receive a 10-year structural warranty.
